Pet-friendly Rental Residences Moving? Why give up your pet? Give your business to landlords and rental agencies that support animals. Some of these properties only allow cats, some both cats and small dogs, and still others don't mind large dogs. They realize that larger animals can be as well-trained as smaller ones. Regardless of the property you are interested in, it is worth asking if they would accept your pet (some places don't advertise that they accept pets). You should have written references from your last landlord(s) stating that you are a responsible pet caregiver (cleans up outdoor messes, repairs any indoor damage, etc) and that your pet has not been any trouble to them or others in the building.
