Strike Has Negative Effects The Winnipeg Pet Rescue Shelter is 100% donor supported. We receive over 90% of all donations in the mail. Since the postal strike and Canada-wide lockout the Shelter has received virtually no donations. The mailed in donations have stopped coming, but the pets haven't stopped arriving at the Shelter.  
Now more than ever we need to focus on online or in person donations so help us stay open. If you would like to make a donation over the phone with your credit card, please contact Carla or Michelle at 832-9880.  Donations can also be dropped off at the Shelter, 3062 Portage Avenue Mon-Fri 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. or Sat 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.   All donations will receive a charitable tax receipt. Please help today
